“Leveraging web development and technology to support ecological transition and CREDDA’s research initiatives.”
🎓 Academic Background & Experience
I am Robert KULE WA-KANGITSI, a Computer Science graduate from the Université Libre des Pays des Grands Lacs (ULPGL/Goma) [2021 – 2024]. I successfully defended my degree thesis in 2025, earning the academic honor of High Distinction (Grande Distinction).
My background includes practical technical experience across various environments:
- Volunteer at ULPGL Computer Engineering Lab: Assisting with technical projects and lab support activities.
- Talent4Startups Alumni (Digital Africa / Afrix Global): Intensive training program focused on full-stack web development skills.
- Remote Web Developer Intern (GS World Africa): Completed a 2.5-month remote internship building web applications and digital tools.
🌿 Commitment to Green IT at CREDDA
Driven by a personal interest in nature and environmental preservation, I support CREDDA and its Environmental Law Clinic through software development:
- Digital Footprint Awareness: Managing growing volumes of data requires large data centers that consume significant power. My degree thesis focused on data compression to help reduce hardware requirements and overall energy consumption.
- Platform Development: Building and maintaining a reliable web application to showcase CREDDA's research work and environmental law resources.
- Community Sharing: Through my kulelab YouTube Channel, I publish tutorials and code walk-throughs to promote practical web engineering skills.
