, is the Democratic Republic of Congo country researcher at the University of York on the project Beyond Compliance Consortium “Building Evidence on Promoting Restraint by Armed Actors”, Professor of international environmental & human rights law and Vice-rector in charge of academic/research affairs at the Université Libre des Pays des Grands Lacs (ULPGL/Goma) with experience in conducting research and coordinating data collection in areas affected by fragility, conflict, and violence, most notably in the Eastern part of DRCongo. Founding Director of the Centre de Recherche sur la Démocratie et le Développement en Afrique, CREDDA, Mayor of the city of Goma, Lawyer at the Goma Bar and Regional Delegate of the Comité de Soutien et de Plaidoyer pour la Région des Grands Lacs, CSP-REGLA.
